It's Valentines Day in NYC

So it's Valentines Day...
Last year at this time I was on a blind date at this schmancy restaurant on the upper east side where the first words out of the guys mouth were "Did you only say yes to this for the free meal?" UMMMMMMM.......and his second question, "So. WHY are you single?" (...clearly we know why he is...) That was actually a great experience because it makes for a great story but I'm quite thankful for the valentines I've had this year. It's a day to celebrate love! Even if I"m not in it right now...
Friday night was a super fun Vintage Valentines Day party complete with Swing dancing and card making. Saturday I worked a beautiful wedding on the upper west side. Yes i am secretly the character from 27 dresses...no big deal...Sunday I shared in GALENTINE'S DAY (thanx parks and rec.) with my best girlfriends. We made Vegan Gluten free pasta with veggies, Gluten free vegan spinach pizza, home made truffles, honey mustard glazed tofu, and chocolate cake. A beautiful night with my best friends and white wine spending time with one another. Those nights were the HIGHLIGHTS... but then I also got adorable Homemade Valentines from my soul mates back home(picture). Accompanied by A childrens book my friend Shannon about St. Valentine- SO THOUGHTFUL!!

However, the actual Valentines Day Is a pretty normal day, at least for my neurotic self since i decided to pretend i have super powers this semester and do 8 million things:

Woke up at 5:45 and had my traditional breakfast (miso soup with tofu and pea's with greentea) and then headed out the door to my Pilates Internship by 6:45 am.
Then at 10am I walked over to school to learn about the complications of having/being a publicist... STRESSFUL! WHY DID I CHOOSE THIS CAREER??
12:15 Next I walked over to the gym to take a spinning class~ there was a full class and the lovely music of our recently deceased W.H. and home girl Beyonce (Baby it's you! you're the one I want you're the one I neeeeeeeeed) YES!! work out - check~
Then BACK to school...oh wait first get locked out of apartment, that was fun, Go to get the key out of bathroom ...not there..damn...o well figure that out lata...
1:15 THEN back to school for senior seminar...3:40 following that I race downtown to do my Internship for JK Booking dance for a few hours...6:00 THEN i race back over to dance rehearsal for an hour and a half and get home about 8:00 NOW I have about an hour till i rehearse with my scene partner. SHEESH!

so Valentinesey? Not so much, but I'm pretty sure someone up there likes me with all these beautiful opportunities I'm able to experience in one day! And I actually have a SeCret Valentine this year...So even though he doesn't know, it's still more fun than having no one on your mind at all...

And who knows, the nights not over till midnight~ could love truly be in the air?
